Objectives
Help socially and economically disadvantaged small business owners overcome historic barriers to participating in federal contracting.
Who can apply?
- Small business under SBA size standards; at least 51% owned/controlled by a US citizen who is socially and economically disadvantaged.
- Personal net worth under $850,000, adjusted gross income under $400,000, assets under $6.5 million.
- In business for a demonstrated period showing potential for success; Alaska Native corporations, CDCs, tribes, and Native Hawaiian organizations are also eligible.
- Cannot have previously participated in the 8(a) program.
