Objectives

Expand access to capital in underserved and rural communities by empowering mission-driven lenders to make smaller SBA-guaranteed loans with lighter paperwork.

Who can apply?

  • Startups and existing small businesses in underserved or rural communities.
  • Apply through a designated Community Advantage lender, not a conventional bank.

What do you get?

  • Loans up to $250,000; 85% guarantee below $150,000, 75% above.
  • Two-page streamlined application; approvals often in 5-10 days.
  • 7-10 year terms for working capital, inventory, acquisitions, or start-up expenses.

How to apply

Find a Community Advantage SBLC lender through SBA's lender directory — the loan is not applied for directly through SBA.
